Utter Shit

Books

I decided to keep a list of the books I am reading/have read. I always feel as if I do not read enough – but I think I actually do! This will prove it either way!

Reading now:

The Secret Language of Girlfriends - a birfday present.

Skinny Bitch – a Christmas gift – I hear it is about veganism. And I hear you can’t eat bacon if you are a vegan.

I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell – I am VERY curious….another Christmas gift.

Done:

Double Take: – 7/2008  – I have NO IDEA what the hell was going on in this book.  Maybe there was a book I should have read before this so I might give a rats ass about nay of the million characters?  I don’t know.  Pbbt.

Wolf at the Table: 7/2008.  I love Augusten Burroughs.  This book disturbed, me though.  A very sad way to grow up.

Water for Elephants – 4/2008 – A sweet story. I really enjoyed this one.

Winter Moon – 3/2008 – I picked this up out of a pile of books someone dropped off for a book drive we are doing at work for the local library. I will be putting it back in the pile today. I am not sure if I had read it before or if it was just predictable. But it was good for open houses – you did not have to think too hard while reading it.

Kite Runner – 3/2008 – Holy crap. I could not put this down. It just kept socking you in the gut and then makig me cry and then socking me in the gut again. And I love the the author is a local!

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – slow to start, slow in the middle, but really, really good. August 2007.

Blaze – I love me some Stephen King. This is sort of a noir heist story. Not terribly original, but great to read for a half hour in the sun (then I get hot and have to go in for a nap).

The Kaizen Way - small steps to route around your fear to get to the larger goals.

Cell: A Novel - Stephen King – an easy read, and a do-over out of utter boredom.

The Historian: ANOTHER do-over. This was good even the second time. I don’t seem to have time to find a good NEW book!

Saving Fish from Drowning – 2/2008 -Loved it! A unique read that I found fun and charming. I read most of this on the trip to OK and AR for grandpas funeral.

Want to read:

Eat Pray Love

Long Time Faves:

The Dark Tower Series by Stephen King- When he had that accident I really thought I would never get the last of the series.

The Red Tent

And I am always interested in YOUR favorite reads!
